Ball Valves

NAEGELEN® lined ball valves provide excellent performance due to their outstanding corrosion resistance in various industries especially in the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industry. For decades lined ball valves have been successfully used in numerous applications thoughout various industries.

Design Features and Benefits

  • Excellent diffusion and corrosion resistance due to virgin fluorocarbon resins
The 3 mm thick ball valve liners consist of high-quality virgin FEP, PFA or PVDF. The lining of body, ball and stem guarantees that corrosive media never get in contact with metal valve components.

  • Minimal cavities reduce the possibility of product contamination
The design of NAEGELEN® lined ball valves minimizes the cavity space of the body and prevents retention of process media in the body cavity ensuring therefore the cleanliness of the media and a consistent product quality.

  • Full bore design guarantees low pressure drop
Compared with reduced bore valves, pressure loss is minimized and the flow capacity increased significantly in the full bore design.

  • Locked-in linings
Our lined ball valves have special grooves locking the lining to the body casting. So, blow-outs (in case of fire) or a detachment of the liner are no longer possible.

  • Modular concept of body and shaft sealing
The different sealing systems are easily interchangeable.

  • Long-term protection against external and internal leakage,
    less than 10-6 mbar l/s

The multi-stage, high performance packing prevents external leakage. The excellent in-line tightness is achieved by the floating ball valve design and high quality components. We have successfully tested our stem packing for more than 200 000 operations.

  • Low maintenance costs and long life-time
The intrinsic valve design and the top quality components guarantee long service life and minimum maintenance costs.

  • CIP - as well as GMP and FDA conformity

  • Lined plug valves for control purposes

  • Jacketed lined plug valves in various designs and end connections

All three packing options are "TA-Luft"-certified.

    PTFE - standard packing

    Maintenance-free life loaded packing

Double packing for exceptional safety requirements

  • Metal to metal body joint (Type R 201M)
for controlled lining compression, especially for heavy duty applications with mechanical and thermal loads.

  • NAEGELEN® ball valves with ceramic ball
for abrasive media and operation under high pressures & temperatures, e.g. in the chemical & pharmaceutical industry.

  • Tank bottom valve
The valve design can be used for discharging of vessels with a minimum of pressure loss.

  • Heat jacketed ball valve
for applications requiring precisely regulated temperatures e.g. for polymerizing media.

  • Ball valves with grounding strap
The grounding strap connects the two body parts to guarantee electrical conductivity.

  • JIS Ball valves (Type R 203)
