Design features

Design: Body

  • Integrated ISO top flange according to ISO 5211

  • Open construction which allows easy stuffing box access and adjustments

  • Extended neck allowing installation in insulated pipe lines (heating, cooling)

  • Face to face according 3202 K1, optional K2, DIN EN 558-1, series 20/25 or MSS SP 67

Design: Body

  • External end travel stop

  • Integrated in the top flange:

  • No obstruction to the media

  • No build of solids on the travel stop

  • Actuator doesn’t require adjustable end travel stops

Design: Body continued

  • Uninterrupted seat retaining ring which
allows the use of metal spiral wound gaskets
    and
    enables easy maintenance

  • Wafer bodies have 4 locating lugs providing
    Easy valve installation
    and
    Correct valve positioning

Design: Disc to stem connection

NOT : Cylindrical and conical as

this offers small shear areas and therefore high material stresses, but is however cheap to manufacturer

Design: Disc to stem connection

By means of Radial pins

  • 100% Tolerance free thus no flutter
    and
Larger shear areas, thus lower material stresses and longer service life

Design: Stuffing box

  • Easy accessible

  • Easy maintenance due to gland bridge which is allowed to swivel

  • Easy gland follower removal by means of pre-machined grove

Design: Axial disc positioning

  • Axial bearing is shrunk on the valve shaft

Design: Radial shaft positioning

  • 2 Bearings on the bottom shaft

  • 2 bearings on the top shaft

  • Bearings are carbon or stainless steel, PTFE lined (Glacier DU type)

So: Excellent disc positioning
and bi-directional tightness

Design: Seat construction

  • RTFE seat

  • Fire Safe seat (F/S)

Design: Seat construction

  • Metal seat (Pulp & Paper version aimed at the paper industry):

    Leakage rate : ISO 5208, Rate D
    Maximum : 10 bar
    Sizes : DN 50- 400
    Maximum : 300°C

Performance parameters

Valve performance

Pressure / Temperature

Valve performance parameters:

  • PN 10 : DN 50- 400 for Metal seat (P&P version).

  • PN 25 : DN 50- 700 for PTFE & Fire Safe Design

  • PN 25 : DN 50- 400 for Metal seat (HT version)

  • PN 40 : DN 50-150 with RTFE seat

  • Maximum temperature : 300 Degrees Celsius metal seat (P&P version).

  • Maximum temperature : 400 Degrees Celsius Metal seat (HT version)

  • Maximum temperature : 260 Degrees Celsius RTFE & Fire Safe seat

  • All lugged valves are unidirectional end of line. Lugged valves can only be mounted with the seat upstream.
